How do I sign up and register for an event?

On our home page, you can filter events based on location, sport, date and type. Simply press "Join", fill in your details, pay, and you're ready to go. Additionally, you are able to sign up for the sport on its dedicated page.

Where do I find the event details after booking?

All details such as timings, facility location, and parking information are sent in an email to you as soon as your booking is confirmed.

Do I need to bring anyone with me?

No — most people come on their own. Your event lead does the introductions and sorts teams so nobody stands about.

What age are people who normally attend?

Most people at our events are young professionals aged 21–40.

What if I've never played before?

Perfect. Sessions are casual and mixed-ability, and the lead runs through the rules and format with anyone new.

What do I do if I don't know the rules?

At the start of NSEW, casual and coached sessions, the lead will explain the basic rules to everyone. If you happen to miss them, would like them re-explained, or have other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

How do memberships work?

Casual, Pro and Elite give you a pot of credits each month plus a discount on events. Credits renew on your billing date and do not roll over. You can change or cancel any time from the membership page.

What if I can't make it one week?

All of our events are designed to be on-demand for you to enjoy whenever you like and however often you like.

Can I cancel a booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cancel more than 24 hours before the start, and you get your money or credits back automatically. Within 24 hours, no refunds are given.

Can I book more than one week at a time?

Yes. In the booking popup you can take the next four weeks of a weekly session in one go. You can still cancel individual dates.

What happens if a session is full?

Join the waiting list. When someone cancels we email everyone on the list at once, and the first person to book takes the place.

What should I wear?

General sports clothes or anything you're not afraid to get a little bit sweaty and dirty are normally fine. If the sport requires specific sportswear, we will be sure to let you know before the event.

Do I need my own equipment?

No. Rackets, balls and nets are provided. Just bring trainers and something you can move in.

What should I do if I have a previous medical condition?

Please email us at andy@thesocialsport.com prior to attending an event. Additionally, remind the sport lead at the start of the event. If you fail to do so and something happens we will unfortunately not be prepared and will not take liability.

How are the sports offered decided?

Completely by you! If enough people request a sport then we play it. In the NSEW sessions, we vote every Monday for the sport we'd like to play.
