Players coming together at a Social Sport session

Cambridge · Oxford · Southwark & City, London

After-event socials
& local partnerships

The games finish. The conversation doesn't have to. Join an optional drink or bite nearby — or help make it happen as the sponsor of a Social Sport event.

For players

Stay for the social.
Only if you fancy it.

Our optional after-event socials give you more time to get to know the people you've just played with. Come on your own, join the group for a coffee, soft drink, meal or pub chat, and leave whenever suits you.

Check the Post social (optional) on your session for the venue. Your event lead and WhatsApp group can confirm the plan. Not every session has an arranged social.

Food and drinks are separate from your sports booking unless a specific offer says otherwise. A sponsor offer is optional too — no purchase or alcohol required to join the conversation.

Find a session and its social

For venues & brands

Sponsor a local sports event.
Be part of what happens next.

Meet a community brought together by a shared interest, not just an advert. We welcome cafés, pubs, restaurants, sports brands and other businesses with something genuinely useful to offer our players.

How can a café, pub or restaurant sponsor an event?

A table after the court: welcome hungry and thirsty players who already have a reason to spend time together.

  • Propose a nearby meeting spot and a food, coffee or drinks offer worth staying for — for example near our venues in Southwark, Cherry Hinton in Cambridge or around Oxford.
  • Match a session's finish time with your opening hours, kitchen service and quieter trading periods.
  • Discuss a repeat weekly social, with group space and a clear plan for arrivals.
  • Introduce your venue through agreed sponsor recognition and a social media collaboration.

A café after weekend tennis. A pub meal after weekday badminton. A new local routine.

How can a sports brand partner with a sport?

Your brand, their sport: connect with people interested in a specific sport through a relevant, useful collaboration.

  • Offer discounted merchandise or a session-specific code so players can try your brand.
  • Propose suitable product trials, equipment support or a small local activation.
  • Choose a sport and area that fit your products rather than a broad, unrelated audience.
  • Agree a social media collaboration built around the session and attendee benefit.

Padel kit for padel players. Tennis clothing for tennis players. Relevance over noise.

These are partnership ideas, not existing sponsor offers. Recognition, content, discounts and any contribution are agreed together before launch.

Local fit. Clear expectations. Useful results.

Choose your area

Partner around sessions in Cambridge, Oxford or Southwark & City, London. For venues, proximity and opening times matter; for brands, the sport and audience matter.

Agree the details

Start with one event or discuss a recurring partnership. Set the attendee benefit, sponsor recognition, social media content, dates and financial or in-kind contribution together.

Measure what matters

Discuss an offer code for redemptions, a tagged link for visits, and agreed social media reporting. Venue visits and brand sales are not the same as event bookings.

Attendance at the social is optional. We do not guarantee group size, spend or reach, and a partnership does not include access to members' private contact details.

Let's talk

Become the
sponsor of the event.

Tell Andy about your business, your area and what would make this worthwhile for both you and our players.

A local café, an independent sports brand or something different — a thoughtful offer is a good place to start.

Socials & sponsorship questions

Are after-event socials optional?
Yes. Join for a drink, food or a chat if you feel like it, or head home after the sport. You do not have to buy alcohol or take part in a sponsor offer.
Where is the social after my session?
Check your session's Post social (optional) details for the named venue. If no venue is listed, ask the event lead in the WhatsApp group before making plans. Locations can differ between sessions.
Can a café, pub or restaurant sponsor a local sports event?
Yes — we welcome enquiries from venues near our sessions in Cambridge, Oxford and Southwark & City, London. Tell us where you are, when you are open, how many people you can comfortably host and what you could offer attendees.
Can a sports brand partner with a specific sport?
Yes. Propose a collaboration around a relevant sport, such as padel, tennis or badminton, with a useful attendee benefit: discounted merchandise, a product trial or equipment support. We will discuss suitable sessions and social media collaboration with you.
What does an event sponsor receive?
The proposed partnership can include recognition as sponsor of the event, an agreed attendee offer and a social media collaboration. Venues can welcome the group afterwards; brands can connect with people who play a relevant sport. The exact placement, content and contribution are agreed before the event.
Is sponsorship paid, or can we offer something in kind?
We welcome proposals for financial support, equipment, product support or attendee offers. There is no fixed package price on this page: tell us your idea and we will agree the scope and terms together.
Are attendee numbers, purchases or sales guaranteed?
No. The social is optional and bookings can change. Before agreeing a partnership, we can discuss the relevant session and how to measure results, without promising footfall, sales or social media reach.
